Paulo has an extensive track record in strategic planning and project management across a diverse set of industries, including mining, telecommunications, and automotive. At Vale, the world's second largest mining company, Paulo is In charge of developing the company's institutional corporate strategy, using strategic planning methodologies such as BSC and SWOT analysis. Prior to Vale, Paulo was the Industry Manager for Standard & Poor’s DRI South American Automotive Group. In this role, he was in charge of the quarterly South American Automotive Industry Forecast as well as in-depth reporting on the Brazil market. He also worked at Price Waterhouse for 7 years beginning in Brazil and subsequently based out of the US, designing and implementing new systems for clients in the Steel, Electric Utility, Retail, and Food industries. Paulo has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from State University of Campinas (Brazil), a Masters in Public and International Affairs from University of Pittsburgh, a Masters in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University, and a Ph.D. From State University of Campinas. Paulo is fluent in Portuguese (native), English, Spanish and Italian. |
