Dan Davison

Intellectual Asset Management

Dan Davison maintains 15 years of specialized expertise in the area of Intellectual Asset Management.

As a founding member of the technology out-licensing program and Marketing Manager for the McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing Company) technology out-licensing program, he created that business unit's first commercial patent portfolio and closed its first licensing deals with companies such as Panasonic and Daimler Chrysler.

After Boeing, Dan joined as an early employee of the Silicon Valley enterprise software start-up Aurigin Systems. Aurigin was among the first to market with comprehensive Intellectual Asset Management software. At Aurigin, Dan engaged companies such as Monsanto, Eastman Chemicals, General Motors and Pfizer.

Dan left Aurigin to become a consultant, helping companies to advance the value of their Intellectual Property.

Serving as a consultant to a Boeing spin-out company, Dan developed and executed a strategy to transform the company from its role as an industrial service provider to a business process outsourcing vendor, increasing average deal size by ten times. This engagement involved the development of a project team that included Accenture and CB Richard Ellis.

Consulting with the President of a new launch within EDS Corp. Dan crafted the inside and outside selling story for this venture.

Dan earned a BA from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from St. Louis University, He has also earned a certification as a Certified TRRU(r) analyst, qualifying him to apply market-driven options-based valuation methods to Intellectual Property.
